GMRI, Chief Innovation Officer

Partnerships are absolutely critical to everything we do at GMRI. In the Education group, those partnerships take several forms—sometimes students and their teachers, other times students and their parents. Also, funders—scientists, citizen scientists; sometimes technology implementers.

For instance, we're just launching a new program, called PowerHouse that connects Middle School students and their laptop computers to their home smart electrical meters. Our key partners in that project include Central Maine Power Company, Image Works, Tilson Technology Management, and the Maine Mathematics Science Alliance.

Without each of these partners and all of us working together successfully, this program just couldn't happen.
